Process description
Hemp is harvested with machinary and fibres are separated by being left to rett (break down) in the field for up to 6 weeks. The fibres are carded onto strands and cleaned of impurities. The fibres are steamed to be turned into a weavable fibre (though can be pulped to make paper or matted to make fleeces). It's then spun or woven.
